The Monroe Academy Volunteers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 66-46 margin over Bessemer Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Monroe Academy.
Several Rebels players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jada Harris, who scored eight points along with two steals. Jaliyah Vance was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five assists and two steals.
She wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Bessemer Academy were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Monroe Academy's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4. As for Bessemer Academy, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.
Monroe Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bessemer Academy will head out on the road to take on Morgan Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
