The Williamsville Bullets gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They strolled past Taylorville with points to spare, taking the game 48-32.
Williamsville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carson Kohler led the charge by scoring 16 points along with 9 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Blake Shoufler, who scored 14 points along with 7 assists and 5 steals.
Williamsville's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Taylorville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Williamsville will be playing in front of their home fans against Meridian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meridian is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Taylorville, they will head out on the road to face off against Effingham at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Effingham comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
