Eaton fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Sterling on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 9-8. The Reds' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Jackson Denooy made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Malaki Dalpra, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

Eaton's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-3. As for Sterling, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Eaton will host University on Monday. The Reds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Sterling, they will head out to face off against Arvada at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
