Basketball Recap: Victoria Cobra Homeschool Piles Up the Points Against Pawnee

A well-balanced attack led Victoria Cobra HomeSchool over Pawnee in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Victoria Cobra HomeSchool Cobra blew Pawnee out of the water with an 84-23 final score. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-4.

Victoria Cobra HomeSchool was led to victory by Hyrum Ripa and Jacob Johnson. Ripa dropped a double-double on 38 points and 16 boards, while Johnson went 12 of 20 on his way to 28 points in addition to 15 rebounds and 12 assists. The dominant performance gave Ripa a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Garza, who posted eight points.

Victoria Cobra HomeSchool smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Victoria Cobra HomeSchool moved to 2-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Victoria Cobra HomeSchool will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Paul at 7:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
