The Parkland Mustangs lost against the East Forsyth Eagles back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Parkland fell just short of East Forsyth by a score of 53-50. Parkland has not had much luck with East Forsyth recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Parkland's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was SaMaurie Moses, who scored ten points. Kiwonn Covert was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds.
Parkland has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for East Forsyth, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkland will take on Reagan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Reagan's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups. As for East Forsyth, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against R.J. Reynolds at 8:00 p.m. Hopefully R.J. Reynolds focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
