Chamberlain is 1-9 against Freedom since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Chamberlain Storm will be playing at home against the Freedom Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Chamberlain is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game dating back to last season on Saturday. They lost 12-5 to Robinson.
Chamberlain got a good showing from Sebastian Rios, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, Rios didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024.

04/29/24 vs Blake | 3 |
02/11/25 @ Spoto | 2 |
04/23/24 @ Brandon | 2 |
04/01/24 vs Armwood | 2 |
At the plate, Jaden Hyde made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Xavier Ether also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, Freedom came up short against Riverview on Thursday, falling 10-4.
Freedom also got a good showing from Gaige Spano, who pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Devon Acord was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. David Simpkins was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Freedom's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Chamberlain, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Chamberlain has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Freedom struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Chamberlain skirted past Freedom 3-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will Chamberlain repeat their success, or does Freedom have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
