The Pleasant Grove Vikings were the 61-60 winner over the Timpview Thunderbirds when they last played one another back in January of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Pleasant Grove took a 60-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Timpview on Thursday. Pleasant Grove has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Pleasant Grove saw an underclassman step up: Tabi Clark dropped a double-double on 20 points and 10 rebounds. Clark scored a full 40.8% of Pleasant Grove's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tay Tay Brown, who scored 6 points.
Pleasant Grove now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Timpview, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Pleasant Grove won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Orem at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. As for Timpview, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Davis at 7:00 p.m.
