It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Waxahachie Indians had no problem doing just that on Friday. They slipped by Midway 20-19. The victory was nothing new for Waxahachie as they're now sitting on five straight.
Waxahachie's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ramon Mckinney jr., who rushed for 100 yards, and also threw for 101 yards and a touchdown. Waxahachie also got a significant boost from Wade Lemons, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 125 yards.
Waxahachie's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Midway, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Waxahachie will face off against Rockwall at TBD on Friday. One thing working in Rockwall's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season. Midway does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
