Baseball Recap: Lebanon Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Lebanon won against Lampeter-Strasburg on Wednesday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Cedars never let the Solanco Golden Mules get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Cedars, who have now won three contests in a row.

Diego Serrano was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Sebastian Cruz was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was David Furjanic, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Lebanon hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Solanco struck out ten times.

Lebanon's record now sits at 6-10. As for Solanco, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.
