The Wright City Wildcats's six-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They secured a 57-51 W over Christian Fellowship. Wright City's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Despite the loss, Christian Fellowship saw an underclassman step up: Ariya Barton scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Barton also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Grace Heston was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds.
Wright City's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8. As for Christian Fellowship, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-5.
Wright City will head out on the road to challenge St. Charles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Charles is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Christian Fellowship will take on Calvary Lutheran at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
