Ella Gordon was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on AK Easterling, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Lila Gordon was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
Mize hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Raleigh struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, Taylorsville scored the most runs they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of Magee.
A'Mya Agee and Abby Pearson did some serious damage despite the final result: Agee scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3, while Pearson scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Nadia Holder, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
