The WestSide Renegades will take on the Tug Valley Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Tug Valley took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on WestSide, who comes in off a win.
On Monday, WestSide beat Liberty 5-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Renegades.

Alex Brunty made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over 6.2 innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Braxton Waldron was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. WestSide is undefeated when Waldron posts two or more stolen bases, but 2-8 otherwise. Kadien Vance was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Tug Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Mingo Central by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Panthers have suffered against the Miners since April 13, 2018.
Tug Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elijah Fluty, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.
Tug Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for WestSide, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. WestSide has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Tug Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
WestSide suffered a grim 20-9 defeat to Tug Valley when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Renegades avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
