Two dominant guards in Tyson Wilson and Felix Buroz are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Treasure Coast Titans will head out on the road to challenge the Centennial Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Treasure Coast has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 182 points over their last three contests.
Treasure Coast pushed their score all the way to 61 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 62-61 to Royal Palm Beach.
Treasure Coast's defeat came about despite a quality game from Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds. Wilson has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. Bek Fleurissaint was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Centennial can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 84-58 margin over Port St. Lucie. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Centennial got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Buroz out in front who scored 24 points along with five assists. Buroz has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayson Smith, who scored 19 points along with two steals.
Treasure Coast's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Centennial, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
Treasure Coast came up short against Centennial in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 69-56. Can Treasure Coast avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
