In what's become a running theme this season, the Bluegrass United Bluehawks gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 61-23 win over Richmond HomeSchool at home. The win was familiar territory for Bluegrass United who now have three in a row.
Bluegrass United's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Allie McGuire, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. McGuire hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Piper Graham, who scored 14 points.
Bluegrass United's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Richmond HomeSchool, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bluegrass United will challenge Western Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Richmond HomeSchool, they will head out on the road to face off against Barbourville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
