The Chippewa Hills Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They were dealt a 52-13 defeat at the hands of Clare. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Chippewa Hills in their matchups with Clare: they've now lost four in a row.
Avelina Hollandsworth was Chippewa Hills' leading scorer, having posted seven points.
Chippewa Hills' defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Clare, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.
Chippewa Hills' road trip will continue as they head out to face Kent City at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Kent City presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Chippewa Hills in Michigan (Kent City is ranked 146th, while Chippewa Hills is ranked 606th). As for Clare, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Meridian at 7:30 p.m. Meridian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
