Woodward Academy had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Norcross Blue Devils. This was payback for the War Eagles, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

While Woodward Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-15.

Jade Williams paced Woodward Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Williams got some help from Marissa Jones and her 13 assists. Jones was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Woodward Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Norcross, their defeat ended a 16-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-4.

Woodward Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Non Varsity Opponent on the 23rd. As for Norcross, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against East Coweta on the 21st.
