Cozad lost against Gothenburg back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Haymakers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Swedes. The Haymakers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Cozad had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19.

Gothenburg was led to victory by Ellie Wyatt and Peyton Hilbers. Wyatt had 11 digs and one assist, while Hilbers had 11 assists and three digs. That's the most digs Hilbers has posted over her last four matchups.

Cozad's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Gothenburg, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Cozad didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against St. Cecilia on the 13th. As for Gothenburg, they will square off against St. Patrick's on Tuesday. The last three games the Irish have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
