The North Sanpete Hawks will head out on the road to square off against the Juab Wasps at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Sanpete is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but North Sanpete ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They managed a 62-57 victory over Canyon View. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Sanpete to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dimick Huntington, who scored 18 points along with six assists and five steals. Another player making a difference was Ridge Hendry, who scored 20 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Juab's three-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They snuck past Carbon with a 54-49 victory.
North Sanpete's record is now 7-10. Juab's record is now 10-7.
North Sanpete didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Juab in their previous matchup on January 3rd, but they still walked away with a 63-58 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Sanpete since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
