Fulshear sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 56-53 win over Tompkins on Friday. This was payback for Fulshear, who suffered a 47-40 loss the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Ruke Ogbevire, who scored 21 points along with 8 rebounds. The contest was her 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sophia Semmler, who scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Fulshear pushed their record up to 10-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Tompkins, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fulshear's road trip will continue as they head out to face Fort Bend Hightower at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th.
