The Fulshear Chargers entered their tilt with the Tompkins Falcons with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Fulshear sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 56-53 win over Tompkins on Friday. This was payback for Fulshear, who suffered a 47-40 loss the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Ruke Ogbevire, who scored 21 points along with 8 rebounds. The contest was her 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sophia Semmler, who scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Fulshear pushed their record up to 10-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Tompkins, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fulshear's road trip will continue as they head out to face Fort Bend Hightower at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Fort Bend Hightower is ranked 63rd, while Fulshear is ranked 53rd). As for Tompkins, they will head out on the road to face off against Seven Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
