Forge Christian had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Wiggins Tigers 41-0 on the road on Thursday.
Sullivan Strange had an outrageously good game as he threw for 216 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 106 yards on only six carries. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in total yards. Joey Shelton was in the mix as well, providing Forge Christian with two touchdowns.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Forge Christian was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 465 total yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wiggins only gained 182.
Forge Christian's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Strange and Treysen Eye. Strange got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible 75 yards.
