The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (Wausa is ranked 182nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 198th).
Last Saturday, Wausa came up short against the Bees and fell 49-37.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Brady Bloomquist, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Hartington-Newcastle scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They breezed by Homer at home to the tune of 59-17. That 42 point margin sets a new team best for Hartington-Newcastle this season.
Brayden Lammers and Riley Sudbeck were among the main playmakers for Hartington-Newcastle as the former scored 15 points and the latter scored 19 points. Sudbeck is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 19 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Rosener, who scored nine points.
Wausa's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Hartington-Newcastle, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season.
