It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the West Morgan Rebels had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They blew past Etowah, posting a 56-0 victory at home. The victory was just business as usual for West Morgan, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
Jalen Fletcher continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, picking up 181 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 190 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Fletcher hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Peters, who threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
West Morgan's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.58 points. As for Etowah, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
West Morgan will face off against Corner at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Corner is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Etowah does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
