Volleyball Recap: Lakyn Sullivan and Laynee Shay Secure Win for Frontenac

Frontenac won the last time they faced Galena and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Raiders came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Frontenac easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-19.

Leading Frontenac to victory were Laynee Shay and Lakyn Sullivan. Shay had 11 digs and two assists, while Sullivan had four digs and two aces. That's the most aces Sullivan has posted over her last nine contests.

Despite the loss, Galena still got an impressive performance from Kyndel Hunt, who had seven digs and two aces.

Frontenac's win bumped their record up to 17-11-1. As for Galena, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 18-9.

Coincidentally, Frontenac and Galena will both be playing Riverton the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will host the Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Raiders will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
