Del Rio was outmatched by Veterans Memorial on the road and fell 93-53. Del Rio was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-25.
Veterans Memorial's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Demarion Dennis, who scored 19 points along with 5 assists and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Jionte Jones, who scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds.
Del Rio's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Veterans Memorial, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 16-1.
Del Rio will head out on the road to face off against Tivy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tivy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 203 points over their last three matches. Veterans Memorial's road trip will continue as they head out to face United South at 3:00 p.m. on December 8th. United South will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 228th, while Veterans Memorial is ranked 14th).
