Tarboro hasn't had much luck against Perquimans recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Tarboro will look to defend their home field against Perquimans at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Tarboro took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Gates County 13-3. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Vikings considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Cole Craddock made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Stephen Ribustello, who went 1-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mason Satterfield, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.
Tarboro kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Perquimans made easy work of Bertie on Tuesday and carried off a 19-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won nine in a row.
Perquimans got a massive performance out of Ben Brown, who scored four runs while going 3-for-4. Jacob Askew was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-5.
Tarboro pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.2 runs over those games. As for Perquimans, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Tarboro hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .333. However, it's not like Perquimans struggles in that department as they've averaged .350. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Tarboro might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Perquimans when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will Tarboro have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
