The Patapsco Patriots suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They were dealt a 58-24 defeat at the hands of New Town. Patapsco has not had much luck with New Town recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Aaliyah Sanders and Kayla Gross certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Sanders scored six points along with two steals, while Gross scored nine points along with 13 rebounds and two steals. Gross is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead New Town to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tarshay Bell, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nasia Hart, who scored 11 points.
Patapsco's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for New Town, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Patapsco will take on Pikesville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for New Town, they will be playing at home against Rosedale Christian Academy at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Rosedale Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
