The Jordan Beetdiggers will face off against the Olympus Titans at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Jordan will be strutting in after a win while Olympus will be coming in after a defeat.
Jordan took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Park City with a sharp 17-2 victory. That 15-run margin sets a new team best for the Beetdiggers this season.
Kimani Archibeque was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Elinor Williams was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Zya Samora, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.
Jordan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .694. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Olympus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-3 to Syracuse.
Olympus saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jocelyn Stern, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
Olympus now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Jordan, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
Olympus' hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Jordan has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11 strikeouts per game.
