Marathon waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 53-42 victory over the Coral Shores Hurricanes. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 59-55 back in December of 2024.

Marathon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daeshawn Holmes led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jack Chapman, who went 5 of 12 en route to 17 points.

Marathon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Marathon's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-13. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Coral Shores, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marathon has already played their next contest (against Sunset), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Coral Shores will face off against TERRA Environmental at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. TERRA Environmental is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.1 points per game this season.
