The Kopperl Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Walnut Springs Hornets at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Kopperl has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team is hunting for their first win since December 15.
Last Friday, Kopperl took a serious blow against Morgan, falling 69-41. While losing is never fun, Kopperl can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1628th, while Morgan is ranked 765th).
Meanwhile, Walnut Springs earned a 57-44 win over Covington on Friday.
Kopperl has been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Walnut Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.
Kopperl might still be hurting after the 64-39 loss they got from Walnut Springs in their previous matchup back in January. Can Kopperl avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
