Case Millsap made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Millsap was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Rock Port let Corbyn Jakub and Westyn Amthor run wild. Jakub scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2, while Amthor went 1-for-2 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most stolen bases Jakub has posted since back in May of 2024. Tayden Cook was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Plattsmouth finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They came up short against Beatrice, falling 10-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Blue Devils were not able to get on the board.
Rock Port pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Plattsmouth, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4.
Plattsmouth's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Rock Port hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .386.
