The Pittsfield Generals scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Holyoke 75-36 on the road. With that win, Pittsfield brought their scoring average up to 53 points per game.
Pittsfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Harolyn Castillo, who scored 17 points along with eight steals and five rebounds. Those eight steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Stetz, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Pittsfield and bumps their season record up to 2-2. As for Holyoke, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pittsfield will be home for the holidays to greet Hoosac Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Holyoke will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
