It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Twin Lakes Indians ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They skirted past Western 71-69. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Twin Lakes had a senior duo take command as Avery Condo scored 23 points and Gavin Businger scored 20 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Condo has scored at least 25% of Twin Lakes' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamison Ousley, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds.
The victory got Twin Lakes back to even at 1-1. As for Western, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Twin Lakes will head out on the road to face off against Lafayette Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Western, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northwestern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
