The Bogan Bengals will take on the Steinmetz College Prep Silver Streaks at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bogan has five straight wins, Steinmetz College Prep has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Thursday, Bogan made easy work of ACERO Garcia and carried off a 12-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bengals, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Omaria Braxton was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexiel Mendez Vigo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.
Bogan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .364 or higher in three consecutive games.
Steinmetz College Prep had taken Disney II down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Silver Streaks came up short against the Titans, falling 13-4.
Steinmetz College Prep also got a good showing from Carlos Morales, who tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off one hit. That one hit allowed gave Morales a new career-low.
On the hitting side, Steinmetz College Prep saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elias Flores, who went 2-for-3 with one run.
Steinmetz College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 5-21. As for Bogan, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bogan has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .617. However, it's not like Steinmetz College Prep struggles in that department as they've averaged .448. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bogan was able to grind out a solid victory over Steinmetz College Prep when the teams last played back in May of 2018, winning 4-0. Do the Bengals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Silver Streaks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
