There's no place like home for the Grace Christian Academy EAGLES, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 67-38 victory over Covenant Christian Academy. Given Grace Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while Covenant Christian Academy is ranked 485th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Ethan Riesberg, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Christian Barkley, who scored 14 points.
Grace Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Covenant Christian Academy, they bumped their record down to 4-9 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Christian Academy will challenge Peoples Baptist Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Covenant Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Cottage at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Cottage focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 35 last Wednesday.
