3A - South recap November 13, 2013
Juab lost to Judge Memorial 41-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Dalton Harmon was a bright spot for the Wasps, as he threw for 15 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 204 yards in the defeat.
Manti led 3A - South in scoring this week by notching 36 points on Morgan. Kamren Fowles ran for 201 yards in the win.
Juab's dynamic duo of Harmon and Dedric Davidson proved tough for the Bulldogs to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Brandon Morgan helped Juab's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 22 yards.
Jared Schiess made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Templars bested the Trojans. He recorded 1 fumble and grabbed 1 sack.
Mike Bowring's team's Nick Robins and Morgan have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Robins has thrown for 2,093 yards this season, while Morgan has 43 catches for 867 yards. Fowles from Manti leads the league in rushing with 1,412 yards.
In 158 carries Morgan Bogue has accumulated 953 yard this year.
Cole Meacham's team made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,096 from 3,852. The improvement was largely due to a 36-28 victory over Morgan last week.
