The Lab University Prep Regional Lab Rats pushed their score all the way to 55 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Greater Vision Academy at home by a decisive 74-55 margin. Lab University Prep Regional has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lab University Prep Regional's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Christian Jones, who scored 21 points. Another player making a difference was Verquan Kimbrough, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Greysen McCadden was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with six rebounds and three steals for Greater Vision Academy. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McCadden has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Titus Tucker, who scored 17 points along with three steals.
Lab University Prep Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Greater Vision Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lab University Prep Regional will take on Hickory H at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Hickory H is ranked 438th, while Lab University Prep Regional is ranked 443rd). Greater Vision Academy on the road again on Tuesday and play against Forsyth Home Educators at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th. Hopefully Forsyth Home Educators focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
