Holmes had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Newport Wildcats on Wednesday as they made off with a 12-2 win. The Bulldogs' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last four games.

Holmes' victory bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Newport, they are on a 42-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holmes will host Ludlow at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Newport, they will be playing at home against Highlands at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
