Bay Path RVT has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Bartlett Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Bay Path RVT pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Blackstone Valley RVT 62-58.
Despite the loss, Bay Path RVT got a solid performance out of Peter Barbale, who scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Greg Downie, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Bartlett's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a tough 57-37 defeat at the hands of Prouty. While losing is never fun, Bartlett can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while Prouty is ranked 22nd).
Bay Path RVT bumped their record down to 2-6 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Bartlett, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
Everything went Bay Path RVT's way against Bartlett when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as Bay Path RVT made off with a 60-40 victory. Does Bay Path RVT have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bartlett turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
