Lebanon has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Friday. They will take on the Western Boone Stars at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Lebanon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Lebanon ended up a good deal behind Avon and lost 62-43.
Despite their loss, Lebanon saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kaden Lark, who scored 16 points, was perhaps the best of all. The matchup was Lark's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Wesley Byrd, who scored 8 points along with 5 steals.
Meanwhile, Western Boone was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 54-48 to Covington. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Western Boone in their matchups with Covington: they've now lost five in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Carter Hanna, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Hawkins, who scored 7 points along with 7 assists.
Crawfordsville's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Lebanon's defeat dropped theirs to 1-2.
Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's game: Lebanon have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 6 threes per game. It's a different story for Western Boone, though, as they've been averaging only 4.2 per game. Given Lebanon's sizeable advantage in that area, Western Boone will need to find a way to close that gap. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
Lebanon was able to grind out a solid victory over Western Boone in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, winning 56-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lebanon since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
