The Stevenson Pirates won the last time they faced the North Monterey County Condors, and things went their way on Friday too. Stevenson walked away with a 55-47 victory over North Monterey County. The win made it back-to-back wins for Stevenson.
Stevenson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cooper Olin led the charge by scoring 23 points. Olin continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Nile Glover was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 14 rebounds and two steals.
The win got Stevenson back to even at 7-7. As for North Monterey County, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stevenson will take on Marina at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marina is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 60 points per game. As for North Monterey County, they will be playing at home against St. Francis at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
