After flying high against the Effie Kokrine Charter Warriors last Friday, the Minto Lakers came back down to earth. Minto received a tough blow on Saturday as they fell 57-41 to Jimmy Huntington. Minto was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Jimmy Huntington apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the defeat, Minto saw an underclassman step up: Jena Smith scored 18 points. Smith continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Reese Gibson was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Minto's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Jimmy Huntington, their win bumped their record up to 1-4.
Minto does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Jimmy Huntington also has no future games currently scheduled.
