The Heath Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Watkins Memorial Warriors, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Heath enjoyed a cozy 48-30 win over Watkins Memorial.
Heath's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaxon Duston led the charge by scoring 13 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Preston Devito, who scored 12 points.
Heath's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Watkins Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heath will take on Newark Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Newark Catholic will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 754th, while Heath is ranked 208th). As for Watkins Memorial, they will play host again and welcome Granville, where tip off is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
