The St. Charles Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Michigan Lutheran Seminary Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Charles comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Last Friday, St. Charles lost to Vestaburg on the road by a decisive 71-54 margin.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Michigan Lutheran Seminary's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 57-48 to Valley Lutheran.
Michigan Lutheran Seminary's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Logan Broekhuizen, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds, and Noah Reif who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was Reif's fourth in a row with at least ten points. William Salgat was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
The losses dropped St. Charles to 0-3 and Vestaburg to 2-1.
Things could have been worse for St. Charles, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 47-33 loss to Michigan Lutheran Seminary in their previous meeting back in December of 2021. Can St. Charles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
