Silverado made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Spring Valley, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Skyhawks put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp 21-5 victory on Monday. That 16 run margin sets a new team best for the Skyhawks this season.
Silverado got a massive performance out of Jordyn Bunce, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those six RBI gave Bunce a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Yvonne Jimenez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.
Meanwhile, Green Valley got themselves on the board against Faith Lutheran on Monday, but Faith Lutheran never followed suit. They blew past the Crusaders 16-0. The result was nothing new for the Gators, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Mia Mor Hernandez made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Lyla Baxter was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Liliana Esparza was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Green Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matches.

However, it's not like Green Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
