The Wilkinson County Christian Academy Rams will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Riverdale Academy Rebels at 7:45 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Wilkinson County Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
Even though Mt. Salus Christian scored an imposing 64 points, Wilkinson County Christian Academy still came out on top. Wilkinson County Christian Academy narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Eagles 66-64.
JACOB SESSIONS continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a triple-double on 33 points, 24 rebounds, and ten assists. It was the first time this season that he posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was EASTON BUTEAUX, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Riverdale Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 62-51 to Claiborne Academy.
Wilkinson County Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Riverdale Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.
Wilkinson County Christian Academy lost to the Rebels on the road by a decisive 63-47 margin when the teams last played back in February of 2021. Can Wilkinson County Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
