Oconee Christian Academy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the King Academy Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Oconee Christian Academy suffered a tough 57-36 defeat at the hands of the Lions. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Oconee Christian Academy in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost four in a row.
Carson Duncan put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Chuck Brooks, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, King Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 62-26 loss at the hands of Richard Winn Academy. While losing is never fun, King Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while the Eagles are ranked 130th).
Oconee Christian Academy now has a losing record at 9-10. As for King Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-16.
Oconee Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid win over the Knights in their previous matchup last Thursday, winning 42-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oconee Christian Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
