The Dwyer Panthers escaped with a win on Saturday against the Boyd Anderson Cobras by the margin of a single free throw, 59-58.

Dwyer was led to victory by TORRE WASHINGTON and JORDAN QUINCE. WASHINGTON dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten rebounds, while QUINCE went 7-for-17 to rack up 17 points along with seven boards and four steals. With that strong performance, WASHINGTON is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game. AHMAD LAWRENCE was another key player, putting up six points in addition to six boards and three blocks.

Despite the loss, Boyd Anderson still got an impressive performance from Hatem Chehade, who shot 60% from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and five rebounds. Chehade is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 46% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was David Jean, who posted four points.

Dwyer's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Boyd Anderson, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Coming up, Dwyer will be playing at home against Wellington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Wolverines have now posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups. As for Boyd Anderson, they will square off against Magnolia at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
