Bellevue (Wash.) snapped Mount Si (Snoqualmie, Wash.)'s 5-game winning streak, with a 37-7 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a field goal by
Marcel Lee in the second quarter, the Wolverines led 20-7 at the half.
Bellevue expanded its lead to 27 points entering the fourth quarter. BHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Bishard "budda" Baker.
Baker was the top performer for the Wolverines. The junior running back ran for one touchdown.
The Wildcats' lone touchdown came on a 17-yard pass in the first quarter.
Mount Si came in allowing just 9.2 points per game this season. Bellevue came into the game allowing 5.2 points per game. MS's seven points were well below its season average of 41.0 per game.
BHS also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 35-3.
The defeat comes as a step back for Mount Si, which notched a 38-7 victory over Kennedy in its previous outing.
