The Master's Academy Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 65-24 defeat at the hands of Thomas Jefferson. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points The Master's Academy has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why The Master's Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Hunter Brown. Despite the final result, he scored nine points.
The Master's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Thomas Jefferson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Master's Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Nebo Crossing Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Hopefully Nebo Crossing Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Monday. Thomas Jefferson and Lake Lure Classical Academy will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Lake Lure Classical Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 655 points over their last ten contests.
