The Lewiston Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 65-30 loss at the hands of Pawnee City. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lewiston in their matchups with Pawnee City: they've now lost three in a row.
Lewiston lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tristen Ray, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and two steals. Everett Bohling was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Trey Marteney was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 17 points along with six rebounds and five steals. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Kling, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Lewiston's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Pawnee City, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Lewiston will be playing in front of their home fans against Sterling on Friday. As for Pawnee City, they will head out on the road to take on Exeter-Milligan/Friend on Friday.
